During the Spring 2021 term, every member of the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï community was invited to participate in a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) climate survey (hereafter, DEI Survey). The University’s DEI Plan called for such a survey on a three-year cycle; this administration is the first such survey of faculty, staff, and students.
The data gathered from participants in the DEI Survey will inform ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s ongoing efforts to move forward with the strategic priorities outlined in the Third-Century Plan and the DEI Strategic Plan. The results of this survey are being made available to the community to support broad engagements in the efforts to improve climate, policies and practices at ºÚÁϳԹÏ, wherein everyone can thrive and their background and identities are valued and respected.
The DEI Survey includes both questions with choice options and open-ended prompts. It covers multiple areas, including ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï community members’ perceptions of the overall campus climate at ºÚÁϳԹÏ, perceptions of how ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï supports diversity and equity, and experiences with discrimination and harassment at ºÚÁϳԹÏ.
